So some snooty old bitch yelled at me for about five minutes solid today for not 'controlling my children'. I always get kind of offended when people think the kids I take care of are my own, although I guess I shouldn't. I mean, I'm 21. It's technically possible that I have a five, three and eighteen month old. If I was really stupid and had my first baby at 16. No offense to anyone who had their first baby at 16. I just think that being a nanny for the better part of four years has turned me off the idea... at least until I'm 30. 30 is a good age to have kids, right?
Anyway, I just told her to fuck off. The older kids were playing out of earshot and the baby doesn't understanding swearing. Or I'm just a really bad nanny, that works too. The thing is, they were just being kids. I hate those people who expect children to be little robots. I think kids should be able to enjoy their childhood, run around in the park, be noisy when the time and place is appropriate, let off some steam... all that great stuff that makes being around children so fun. I want to murder my little brats half the time, sure, but they are also the reason getting out of bed on a Monday morning isn't such a bad thing.
